Do you need immediate medical care in the Greenwood, Coronaca, Wheatfield, Windtree, and Timberlake area? Don’t waste another minute in the emergency room and visit the board-certified doctors at AFC Urgent Care and Walk-in Clinic Greenwood today! Be seen promptly by our providers instead of spending hours and minutes in an ER waiting room or days waiting for your primary care physician. Our walk-in urgent care center requires no appointments, and we can treat you for a variety of non-emergency illnesses and injuries. A majority of reasons why people visit the emergency room can easily be treated at our clinic.
In addition to offering top-notch immediate care to our neighbors in the Greenwood, SC area, our clinic also has many everyday services available with no appointment needed. A common reason someone visits our clinic is for an immediate x-ray of an injury. If you’ve taken a bad fall or suffered a severe sprain or strain, then an x-ray is likely needed to make sure you haven’t experienced a simple fracture. Undiagnosed broken bones can lead to longer recovery times, more expensive medical bills, or at worst, long term damage. A quick x-ray is a great way to make sure you are healthy! We will review the images with you, send you home with a copy, and can forward pictures to a doctor of your choice.
Another popular service we offer is access to our state of the art, onsite lab. We can test you for a variety of illnesses, like the flu, strep throat, or a sexually transmitted disease. You can expect accurate, confidential testing in a judgment-free environment. Our lab is also able to process drug, alcohol, urinalysis, and other blood tests if needed by our doctors for diagnosis or as a requirement for a physical. We also can quickly process any employer mandated drug testing at our clinic. The result of any test will be reviewed with you by our staff in a language you can understand, not medical jargon. If you do test positive for an illness or infection, we can prescribe and fill your medication before you leave or send it to a pharmacy of your choice. We’ll send you home with a copy of all lab results and can forward them to your primary care physician if requested.
In addition to carrying many of the medications needed to treat illnesses, we also keep in stock many of the vaccines required to keep your immunizations up to date or to protect yourself if you are traveling overseas. If you or a family member needs a vaccine or a booster shot, come in today with your immunization records. We’ll check with the latest CDC guidance to see which ones you need. If you are traveling overseas, visit us a month or so in advance, and we’ll prepare your immune system for the trip. You’ll receive a complete report of what vaccines were administered, and we can send a similar report to your doctor so they can update their records if requested.
